Mat pilates • Dance
Meet Mollie – Mat Pilates Instructor at Catherine’s Place. Mollie’s passion for Pilates began while studying Dance at university, where Pilates principles were woven into strengthening and conditioning. This early exposure sparked a deeper curiosity about mindful movement, leading her to explore Yoga and complete a foundation course focused on the connection between mind and body in mat-based exercise.
It was through Pilates that Mollie truly found her calling. She quickly fell in love with the practice and experienced first-hand its powerful impact on both her physical strength and mental wellbeing - an experience that continues to shape her teaching today.
Mollie’s classes are full-body focused, working towards improved balance, control, alignment and confidence. Her teaching style is inclusive and supportive, making her classes suitable for all abilities, while offering layered progressions and optional challenges for those looking to push a little further.

Vinyasa • Ashtanga • Hatha • Yin
Tiia Ourila-Thorpe is a passionate and creative yoga teacher. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Kula in 2019 and teaches Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Ashtanga Fusion, Hatha, and Yin. Tiia’s classes are known for their warmth, creativity and strong anatomical foundation, reflecting her background as a professional dancer and her MA in Dance Education and Teaching. She creates an inclusive, supportive space where every student’s journey is valued.

Vinyasa
Tori is a warm and down to earth yoga teacher who believes yoga should be empowering, enjoyable and open to everyone, no matter your experience or flexibility. Her inclusive classes offer a thoughtful mix of movement, breath and calm, helping you feel strong, supported and connected both on and off the mat. Raised on a Yorkshire farm, Tori has a deep connection to nature and loves teaching outdoors just as much as in the studio. With a smile and a steady presence, she creates space for you to move, reset and reconnect - exactly as you are.

Vinyasa • Hatha • Yin
I'm Jennie, a yoga teacher trained in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin. I’m passionate about supporting mental well-being through a holistic approach that brings together mindful movement, breathwork and meditation.
Inclusivity and empowerment are at the heart of how I teach. I offer options and variations throughout each class so whether you're completely new to yoga or have an established practice, you’ll feel supported to move in a way that feels right for you.
My classes invite you to slow down, tune in and reconnect with yourself. There is no pressure to perform, only space to explore, breathe and be. I am here to gently guide you and hold space for whatever your practice needs on the day.

Vinyasa • Yin
I'm Catherine - a yoga teacher, a creative autistic woman and founder of Catherine's Place. I practice yoga to feel calm, stretch and strengthen the whole body, and slow a busy mind. I love to explore the whole of yoga in my teaching, blending asana (movement) with pranayama (breathing) and meditation. I most often teach classes which blend the mindful benefits and stillness of Yin with the wonderful stretch and movement of a steady Vinyasa Flow. In every class, I aim to create warm and inclusive spaces, encourage authenticity and help build confidence. Expect lots of variations, the guided use of props and reminders to listen to what your body and mind need in the moment.

Ashtanga
Sophia is a yoga teacher whose journey began with a simple intention: healing. What started as a personal practice gradually became the foundation of her resilience, strength and inner clarity. Yoga offered her both structure and freedom, and it is this transformative experience that she now shares with her students through mindful movement and intentional breath.
Rooted in the discipline of Ashtanga, Sophia brings over five years of dedicated practice and teaching. Her classes weave together steady sequencing, simple guidance, and supportive hands-on or verbal adjustments that empower students to grow safely at their own pace. She is known for her calm presence, thoughtful teaching, and her ability to make challenging practices feel accessible, grounded and meaningful.
Sophia founded her own yoga studio in her native Philippines, where she cultivated a vibrant and diverse community of locals, expats and travellers. The space quickly became a hub for connection, mindfulness and shared practice. Now based in Leeds, she continues this mission – creating environments where students of all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels feel seen, supported and encouraged to explore their own potential.
In every class, Sophia invites students to return to themselves: to move with awareness, breathe with intention and reconnect with what is already strong and steady within. Her teaching is guided by the belief that yoga is not just a physical practice, but a pathway back to resilience, presence and deeper self-understanding.
Yin • Vinyasa
Claire is a 250hr qualified teacher who is trained in both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. She has been practicing yoga for over 7 years, and since immersing herself in the world of yoga, she has gained a practical toolkit to help gain more autonomy and power over her own state of being, having been diagnosed with a number of chronic health conditions including Endometriosis, PMDD, and Fibromyalgia. She is now passionate about sharing the tools that have helped her on her healing journey.
Yoga sessions with Claire have a focus on nourishment and healing, using slow and gentle movement and stillness to create an environment where the body and mind are calm and clear. Her teachings aim to empower people to discover their own autonomy, strength and confidence. Claire particularly enjoys working with others who suffer from chronic illness to help them find a healthy and supportive routine and relationship with themselves. Her aim is to create and hold a safe space for anyone who needs it, particularly welcoming those who feel disempowered and lacking in confidence.
